The third and final product in the SOLAR range is a software agent which resides on the Empiricom knowledge cloud. Via a web browser, SOLAR Consult delivers the problem-solving application, created using SOLAR Acquire and SOLAR Build, to the end-users who need it. In their interaction with SOLAR Consult, end-users are able to access the prowess of the original expert(s) who provided their specialist knowledge. Not only does this lead the user quickly to the expert’s resolution of their problem, it also provides them with exactly the conclusions, advice and recommendations – in the form of easy-to-understand English-language reports – which the original expert would have given. SOLAR Consult is therefore the mechanism by which rare expertise can be made available to virtually limitless numbers of users.
